Here is the piece that I have been working on semi-incognito for some time now, it is also the first of a triptych that I will be doing, each linked with a common catalyst. The second is in the works and I have started planning the third. So keep an eye out for the other two in the future.

I always try and immerse myself as much as I can while I'm working. This includes the music that I listen to as well as tons of research and interpretation so that every single detail is grounded in reality. I love doing this because I come out with new discoveries that I would not have come across otherwise.

As for technical information about the piece, to whomever is interested, the file is 20x20" with 300ppi. There are approximately 104 layers, 14 alpha channels, 9 groups, and is 387 MB. It also takes an average of 47.3 sec to save.

After spending this entire night in the animation Lab I was finally able to finish my animation assignment! This is a rough line test shot on two’s (12fr/sec). It still has some volume errors, which I am going to have to live with for now because I am too tired to fix them.

I know I said I would have the full drawing posted shortly, but painting this took a lot longer than expected. Rendering all the details was very rewarding, but it took a lot out of me, so I think this will be my last musician/artist... for now. Expect to see some new projects that I have been planning soon.

I have never been an avid blogger but lately my post have been steadily growing apart. I blame the good weather, which compels me to traverse through the city. Here is the 3rd piece in the series. The Orges Description was: Giant Hulking Ogre, dumb at first glance, large shoulders, bulky but not Body builder.

This is my second attempt at a Matte painting, and slightly more ambitious than the first. The structure is made up of multiple building from the Imperial Butterfly House in Vienna, Austria to the Bethesda fountain in Central Park, New York City.
